REGISTRATION

 

The National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education is coordinated by the Southwest Center for Human Relations Studies at the University of Oklahoma. As a non-profit, educational event, NCORE is open to all individuals; no membership is required. The conference is financed by registration fees and sponsorships.

NCORE is committed to making activities accessible. If you have accessibility or accommodation needs, please indicate them when you register or email our Accessibility Coordinator, Josephine Stocks, so she may attend to your request.


Individual Registration Links

BEFORE YOU REGISTER AS AN INDIVIDUAL, click HERE to learn if your institution has already qualified for a group discount rate. If it is an approved group, do not use the links below to register. Instructions on how to register with your group's discount link can be provided by contacting your institution's Group Organizer. Find out more on the group discount page.

NCORE Conference

Includes breakout sessions held Wednesday-Saturday, plus all caucus group meetings, keynotes, and evening programming. Rate: $695 until April 1, 2020. $795 rate begins April 1, 2020.

 

NCORE Conference + Pre-Conference Institute

Includes access to an institute of your choice on Tuesday, breakout sessions held Wednesday-Saturday, plus all caucus group meetings, keynotes, and evening programming. Rate: $795 until April 1, 2020. $895 rate begins April 1, 2020.

 

Student Registration

Includes access to an institute of your choice on Tuesday, breakout sessions held Wednesday-Saturday, plus all caucus group meetings, keynotes, and evening programming. Rate: $495 year-round for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the spring 2020 semester. Students: secure your funding for the conference before registering. Cancellation, refund, and substitution policies are below and apply to all registrants, including students. 


Cancellation, Refund, and Substitution Policies

  • All cancellation / refund requests made by May 1st, 2020, will be made less a $100.00 service and processing fee. Notification can only be made through email to ncore@ou.edu
  • All cancellation / refund requests after May 1st, 2020, will receive a refund of the amount paid less a $250.00 service and processing fee. Notification can only be made through email to ncore@ou.edu.
  • Refunds will not be made because of weather conditions or travel situations encountered in your home, "connecting", or conference host locations.
  • Registration may be transferred to a substitute delegate (with no additional charge).
  • Registration may not be transferred to a future NCORE.
  • No refund amount will be granted for no-shows.
  • In the unlikely event the conference is cancelled, NCORE will refund 100% of the registration fees paid.
  • No rate adjustments or refunds will be made to change an individual registration rate to a group discount rate.

 

Payment Options

During registration, you may select PAY NOW (with a credit card) or PAY LATER (to be invoiced). If you select PAY LATER, do not log back into the registration system to pay; this is not possible and can create a duplicate registration. Call our Registration Coordinator at (405) 325-6808 to pay by credit card over the phone. Or, mail a check made payable to The University of Oklahoma addressed to: The University of Oklahoma Registration & Records, 1700 Asp Avenue, Room B-1, Norman, OK 73072-6400.

For your planning purposes: continental breakfasts will consist of various items such as breakfast breads, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, and tea. 


NCORE 2020 Check-In Times

Monday, May 25 - 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM  (no conference sessions this day but you can beat the check-in rush!)

Tuesday, May 26 - 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM  (optional Pre-Conference Institute sessions begin the morning of this day)  

Wednesday, May 27 - 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM  (NCORE conference sessions begin the morning of this day)

Thursday, May 28 - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Friday, May 29 - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Saturday, May 30 - 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

 

NOTE: if you choose to register in-person rather than in advance, our policy is that you will not receive a totebag or printed NCORE Program and Resource Guide. Plan on accessing the digital Guidebook app for the conference schedule. If totebags and program guides remain on Friday, May 29, you may pick one up then.
